Beginner Photography Day - Norfolk
Unlock the Beauty of Nature Through Your Lens
Are you passionate about wildlife and photography but not sure how to get started? Our Beginner's Wildlife Photography Workshop is designed for absolute beginners and casual photographers looking to master the essentials of photography while exploring the rich diversity of wildlife in Norfolk.
What You’ll Learn:
Our workshop starts with a 1-hour classroom session where we’ll guide you through the fundamentals of photography, such as how to use your camera, adjust ISO, shutter speed, and exposure. Then, we take this knowledge outdoors to immerse ourselves in nature and put these skills to the test.
With expert instruction from an experienced wildlife photographer and cameraman—whose work has been featured in major TV shows like Springwatch and David Attenborough’s Wild Isles—you’ll learn how to capture breathtaking shots of birds and wildlife while honing your understanding of composition, lighting, and camera settings. No more relying on automatic settings—this workshop empowers you to take control of your camera.
Hands-On Experience in the Wild
After the classroom session, we’ll head into the field for 4 hours of practical, guided photography at Billingford Fishing Lakes, a haven for diverse wildlife. Spend time in a custom-made bird hide with a reflection pool, perfect for photographing woodland birds like blue tits, great tits, nuthatches, woodpeckers, and more. With the possibility of spotting rare species like great crested grebes, red kites, kingfishers, water voles, and otters, every moment offers a new photo opportunity.
Small Groups, Big Learning
We keep our group size to just 4 participants to ensure you get one-on-one attention, allowing for a more personalized learning experience. Whether you're new to photography or want to refine your skills, this intimate setting ensures you walk away confident and excited about wildlife photography.
Edit Like a Pro
The final hour of the workshop focuses on editing your best shots. Learn the basics of post-processing and how to bring your images to life using professional techniques to create stunning results.
