Cairngorms Photography Trip
Cairngorms National Park
£1000 per person (8 places)
Tripod, DSLR, 300mm minimum long lens, wide angle for landscapes, warm clothes, walking/hiking boots, extra batteries and memory cards
Spend 7 Nights in one of the UK's premier wildlife hotspot to photograph species such as Black Grouse, Pine Marten, Red Squirrel and Crested Tits to name a few. Snow caped mountains, Caledonian forests and wide expanses of moorland offer a huge variety of habitats for wildlife which we will explore.
This workshop will work on giving passionate wildlife photographers a wide range of highland species. The course works on field craft, camera controls, lens choice and using hides to capture those spilt second shots. The group will consist of 8 people, which will be split into two with Jack Perks taking half the group and Josh Jaggard the other to reduce disturbance to wildlife and maximise chances of getting images.
Included in the price is accommodation, which will be in the heart of the Scottish highlands on the Glenlivet estate. Accommodation: Twin rooms, shower, tv, wifi, kitchen and lounge with sofas. Breakfast and packed lunch will be provided but evening meals are not included. There will be cooking facilities with fridge/freezer.
Also included in the price is an evening trip to Speyside Wildlife Hides. Here we will be hoping to see pine martens, badgers, red deer and roe deer. Special purpose black grouse hides are also available for clients who want to spend the night out under the stars and witness the sunrise and black grouse lekking.
The rest of the week will be looking for and photographing all the other species: Red squirrel, crested tit, mountain hare, red grouse, stoats, ptarmigan, snow buntings, dipper, otters plus anything else we might come across. For more images please see my portfolio page from the Cairngorms.
